We have interviewed Joseline Gonzalez from Crew 8, who teaches writing and dance.
"I can't believe that there are people who do bad stuff like this to other people. We should definitely provide psychological help," Gonzalez said. "I don't think he deserves death sentence. Because NO ONE has the power to take someone's life."
"I'm really angry at how the girls were treated because like I mentioned before no one should be able to take someone's life or hurt them," said Gonzalez.
Do you think Castro deserves the death sentence?
I really liked how you asked if the person deserved the death sentence
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely horrifying stuff. I definitely echo your sense of bewilderment that someone could do something like this to other human beings. Have you looked into some of the background behind this event? It sounds like there were some serious failures on the part of the local police in responding to reports from neighbors over the years. I'm sure some folks would like to read a follow-up article about what happened from the perspective of law enforcement in the community.
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely a scary incident. This man not only took away ten years of their lives but also has emotionally scarred these women. If one of them had not escaped, we may never know if they would have ever gotten out. I feel that this man should face more than just jail. He tortured these women and he must pay. However, I don't think the death penalty should be applied. I agree with Ms. Joseline Gonzalez that no one really has the right to take away someone's life. However, what do you think Angel?
ReplyDeleteA very interesting article!
